Uses Your Existing Photo Library

iPhotoWebShare works with your current iPhoto library, so you don't need to transfer your pictures to a new location -- your pictures continue to be maintained by iPhoto. This means you don't have to learn how to use another photo application or have to periodically copy pictures to a different location. We support iPhoto version 4 through version 8 (iPhoto '09) libraries.

iPhotoWebShare does not modify any iPhoto database files or picture files, so your data is completely safe. It notices when iPhoto updates its library, and shows the changes the next time the web page is accessed.

Share With Everyone!

iPhotoWebShare allows you to share your iPhoto libraries with everyone -- not just other local iPhoto users. iPhotoWebShare runs as a small, background task, so you don't have to run iPhoto to share -- you don't even have to be logged in! With iPhotoWebShare, your photos are accessible through web browsers, so family and friends can view them using Safari, Firefox, Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer on Macs, PCs, or Unix boxes!

iPhotoWebShare uses Bonjour to advertise its service, so local Mac users will automatically see your library being shared in Safari's Bonjour menu.

You Pick What to Share

You configure what gets shared from the System Preferences. You select which iPhoto library to share (if you have more than one.) Within each library, you select which albums are viewable over the Web.

You Select its Appearance

iPhotoWebShare comes with two different layouts. Each layout has several color schemes, so you can tweak your site's look-and-feel.

You Pick Who to Share With

You can protect your library with a name and password. By distributing it to friends and family, you determine who may access your photographs.

Thumbnails and Slideshows

Initially, your visitors are given a thumbnails view of a selected album. By selecting any picture in the album, they are given a slideshow view where they can advance through the album one picture at a time. Each picture is scaled to optimally fill the screen.
